OUR PRACTICE TEAM Dr V Yu: MB BS MMedSc MD MBRCP MRCHM: Consultant of Chinese medicine and Western medicine, and Head of the practice team. Dr Vincent Yu has been considered one of the top Chinese medicine Doctors in the UK. He studied Western medicine in combination with traditional Chinese medicine and obtained his degree of Bachelor of Medicine in China. Since graduation, he has been practicing traditional Chinese medicine alongside with western medicine. In 1993, he received his degree of Master of Medical Science in internal medicine at the University of Newcastle. In 2003, he went to the Hammersmith Hospital, for one year postgraduate medical training and in 2004, he obtained a Diploma in Internal Medicine at Imperial College, University of London. In 2008, he was awarded the Degree of Doctor of Medicine at Imperial College, University of London. Dr Yu’s rich knowledge and clinical experience in both western medicine and Chinese medicine have earned him a great reputation in successfully treating a wide range of disorders. He has written a few articles about Chinese medicine in local newspapers and published several research papers in Western medicine at professional journals. His current areas of research interest are Vitiligo, Male’s disease and Infertility. His visitors include former President and High commissioners of Kingdom of Swaziland, and other foreign embassy officers. On 12 May 1997, BBC One o’clock News team interviewed Dr Yu at his clinic, topics including General Situation of Chinese Medicine in the UK and successful cases he has treated. On 15 July 2008, Dr Yu was invited to BBC London studio and gave a live talk about Current Traditional Chinese medicine therapy on obesity.
